Welcome to
Home Field Advantage

We’re a nonprofit advocating and fundraising for the M. Douglas Crater Field & Stadium now under construction to serve R.J. Reynolds High School and Wiley Magnet Middle School. Before this on-campus, multi-sport facility was approved, neither of these Title I schools had a regulation-size field making athletics and other activities inaccessible to many students, families and fans.

Home Field Advantage has entered into a public-private partnership with Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools  in order to raise the remaining $1.7 million in private funds to complete the remaining construction projects — stadium entrance, press box, field house — in 2024.

Progress is being made!

A field of dreams is happening! Check out this drone footage from early August 2022 of construction underway at the M. Douglas Crater Field & Stadium. The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools facilities team has been busy all summer on the field site. We’ll continue to share updates as progress continues.

The stadium provides, unequivocally, what we call “the thrill of victory” for the student athletes at Reynolds and Wiley. Let’s share in their joy.
